Maserati announces its arrival in india.
Italian luxury carmaker Maserati has officially announced its arrival in india and will be selling its entire range of cars here that includes the Quattroporte, GranTurismo and the Gran Cabrio. Prices start at Rs.1.20 crore for the GranTurismo and go all the way to the Rs.1.43 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the Gran Cabrio.
The Shreyans group will be Maserati’s partner to sell the cars in india. India is the 63rd market of the Italian carmaker. The company is all-set to open its first showroom in Mumbai shortly. This will be followed by a showroom in Delhi by early next year. It aims to have a presence in at least seven major cities with individual dealerships and full service network by the end of 2015. The company is aiming to sell around 20-25 cars this year and hopes to achieve triple-digit sales figures by next year.
Buyers will be able to choose from 4.2-litre and 4.7-litre petrol engines in different states of tune and will also be able to choose the exact specs of their cars including multiple options for the upholstery trim.
